Getting started

1. Choose an AI model in Settings › Models: Ollama (on your Mac, private) or Anthropic (add your API key in Settings › Providers).
2. Allow permissions when asked: camera, microphone, screen recording (then quit and reopen) and speech recognition for voice input.
3. Talk to it: "Make a 5-minute deck on…", "Use my USB mic and put my iPad camera bottom-right", "Start recording".

My screen preview is black or says permission is needed

Open System Settings › Privacy & Security › Screen & System Audio Recording and switch on Snazzy Pro, then quit and reopen the app. If Snazzy Pro is listed more than once, remove the extra entries with the minus button and allow it again.

My iPad or iPhone doesn't appear

Connect it with a cable, unlock it and tap Trust. It can take up to 30 seconds to appear. Keep it unlocked, with Auto-Lock off, while recording.

The camera inset froze during a recording

The recording carries on. The freeze is noted in the recording's timeline.json, and the full raw tracks are kept next to the video.

Where are my recordings?

Movies › Snazzy Pro › Recordings. Each recording has a folder of raw tracks next to it.

Does my data leave my Mac?

Only if you choose a cloud model, and only after you agree. See the privacy policy.
